How QPILCH can help with legal problems arising from the January 2013 floods

QPILCH is a civil law referral agency. We refer applicants to the private legal profession for legal opinions and full representation. QPILCH first assesses the application to ensure that the matter has legal merit and the matter is appropriate for pro bono assistance.

We can help small businesses and farmers who have civil law problems (not crime or family) arising from the floods. We can help with:

  • Insurance claims
  • Tenancy issues
  • Contract problems
  • Employment matters
  • Other civil law.

Please use the application form to the right.

We cannot assist with fencing and neighbourhood disputes.

Individuals affected by the floods (other than farmers or small businesses who can apply direct to QPILCH) should first contact Legal Aid Queensland or a community legal centre before applying to QPILCH. Contact Legal Aid or telephone 1300 65 11 88.
