An induction session will be held at our office on Thursday 22 July between 9am and 11am.

Primarily, students will assist with the assessment of applications for assistance, preparing correspondence, legal research and file management.

Depending on workflow, volunteers may also be asked to assist staff members in relation to particular law reform projects or casework.

Students will be expected to attend QPILCH on their rostered day each week during their respective period. Students volunteering during semester time should therefore be prepared to commit to 1 full day a week for 12 weeks (except for the mid-semester holiday break) as they would a job. This is to ensure the best outcomes and experience for both students and QPILCH. If, however, you are unable to attend for reasons such as ill health of yourself or family, please contact the coordinator before your rostered day.
