Our referral servicesBack to top

QPILCH can refer individuals or community organisations with a legal problem to member law firms and/or barristers for pro bono (free) legal assistance. QPILCH runs 3 referral services:

Public Interest Referrals
Bar Pro Bono Scheme
QLS Pro Bono Scheme

In all schemes, to be eligible for assistance you must not be entitled to legal aid, be unable to afford private legal help, and your matter must have strong prospects of success.

If QPILCH assesses your matter as being eligible for assistance, then we will attempt to refer your matter to a law firm and/or barrister for legal assistance. QPILCH does not itself give legal advice or assistance.

To apply for a QPILCH referral service, please complete and return the following application form with all relevant documents.

Application form (DOC, 140KB) - Mar 2009

What we don't do:

Due to limitations in resources and expertise, we do not refer matters in relation to the following areas of law:

Family
Criminal
Complex building disputes
Matters which do not apply Queensland law or are not otherwise connected to Queensland, for example, the matter is being heard in a court based outside of Queensland.
